Mission
The YAGEO Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Taiwanese entrepreneur and businessman Pierre Chen. Established in 1999, the foundation is dedicated to promote art and culture through the sponsorship of exhibitions, research and educational programs. The foundation aims to foster dialogue between East and West and thrives to integrate art into everyday life.

The YAGEO Foundation Collection includes the personal art collection of Pierre Chen who has been avidly building the collection over three decades. Guided by the founder’s passion and vision, the focus of the YAGEO Foundation Collection lies in masterpieces from the Modern and Post-War periods.
From the start, Chen has focused on only acquiring the very best examples from an artist’s oeuvre. These works include paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography from Western and Eastern artists, often presented in meaningful ways that blend the art into its surrounding indoor and outdoor spaces. Works from the YAGEO Foundation Collection are regularly on loan to museums and institutions around the world.

& Scholarship
The YAGEO Foundation offers cultural programs that support Taiwanese artists as well as the local community’s access to art and culture. The major areas of operation include sponsoring artist exchange programs with institutions abroad, organizing research and support for performances and exhibitions both locally and abroad, and funding individuals and groups in the production of cultural activities and artworks in Taiwan. The foundation is also committed to the creation, publication and sale of printed materials on art and culture, including scholarly texts, artist monographs and catalogue raisonnés.
